Candidate for Alderman. Launceston City Council.

I have officially nominated as a candidate for Alderman in the
Local Government Elections for the Launceston City Council.

EXPERIENCE. STRONG CONNECTIONS. PROVEN ABILITY

What are the priorities?
Attract appropriate development to ensure a diverse, thriving economy; Invigorate our city heart to create energy and opportunity; Champion and protect our rivers, unique cultural identity, architectual and urban heritage, our parks, recreational and sporting facilities, public spaces and the arts.

Why is this important?
So everyone feels safe and secure and connected within their community; with equal access to services, facilities, activities, places, events and the people who support us to live our best possible life.

Council is the place where together we can create the opportunities and change for the benefit of everyone in Launceston.

Family

Watch your thoughts;
they become words.
Watch your words;
they become actions.
Watch your actions;
they become habits.
Watch your habits;
they become character.
Watch your character;
for it becomes your destiny.

Fear

How often do you miss out because you are afraid?

How often do you give up and say - next time?

How often do you freeze and can't start up again?

Life is
Life is an amazing opportunity
just because something seems scary at first doesn't mean it's not a risk worth taking.
So many things can impact on how we think and feel about something and most times - what we are thinking isn't even real!
Three things I do when I start to freeze up - take a big deep breath, walk for a minute and think of something I love doing - ask myself what's the worse thing that could possibly happen if I take the next step - then I jump!
